Wash Car Task Force in Rio de Janeiro arrested Michel Temer, the former president of the Republic, on Thursday morning. The agents are still trying to comply with a warrant against Moreira Franco, a former minister of Mines and Energy.
The warrants were issued by Judge Marcelo Bretas, of the 7th Federal Criminal Court of Rio.
Since Wednesday, Mar. 20th, the Federal Police tried to track and confirm the location of Temer, without success. Therefore, the operation scheduled for the early hours of the morning of this Thursday was delayed.
In addition to arresting Temer, police also have an arrest warrant issued against former PM Moreira Franco, TV station Globonews said.
