Brazilian economy grew 0,58 per cent in 3Q 2017

The Brazilian economy completed the third consecutive quarter of growth, according to data released on Monday (Nov. 20) by the Central Bank, something that had not occurred since 2013.

With an increase of 0.40% in September, the Central Bank’s Economic Activity Index (IBC-Br) closed the third quarter of the year with a rise of 0.58 percent. In the previous quarters, the observed increases were 0.39 percent (2Q) and 1.1 per cent (1Q)
Compared with the same period of 2016, growth was 1.45 percent.
