President Jair Bolsonaro has canceled his last engagement in Israel. He would visit Raanana, a Brazilian community about 80 km from Jerusalem, on Wednesday, but for security and logistics reasons, the event was canceled, according to Brazilian government sources. Bolsonaro will receive 25 representatives from the Brazilian community at a hotel in Jerusalem. With the free schedule on Wednesday, he will anticipate his return to Brazil in two hours.
On the third day of the official visit to Israel, Bolsonaro met on Tuesday morning, 2, with Brazilian and Israeli businessmen. During the meeting, he said that the new government took over in an “unexpected situation“ and that the major press was a factor contrary to his election. “But we had the people and God in our favor and we took on the new government,“ he said at the opening of the Brazil-Israel business meeting, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
