The demonstration in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, which began in the afternoon, gathered around 150,000 people, according to the State Union of Education Professionals. The Military Police did not disclose the numbers.
The confusion after the protest began in the Republic Square, central region, and traveled along Av. Presidente Vargas. The newspaper says a bus was burned down on the road. However, there is no information on the cause of the fire.
